Dolomites cycle path: Cortina d'Ampezzo to Calalzo

The Lunga Via delle Dolomiti follows the line of the old railway that linked Calalzo with Cortina and Dobbiaco. From Cortina it descends gently down the Boite valley through woods, tunnels and over bridges, with Antelao and Pelmo in view, passing San Vito, Borca and Vodo di Cadore.

In this direction it's downhill almost all the way, mostly on tarmac or firm gravel. Calalzo has a railway station, and in summer some buses carry bikes back up to Cortina.
