A few minutes from the Deutsches Museum you're riding through greenery along the Isar. The route heads upstream past the gravel beaches of the Flaucher and out of the city, through the Isar valley near Pullach and on to Schäftlarn Abbey and its beer garden.
Much of the way is gravel, and there are a few short, steep climbs in the valley. The S-Bahn runs back to Munich from Wolfratshausen.
